SEE IT: LeBron James talks JAY-Z, raps with Ice Cube on ‘Carpool Karaoke’

It was a good day for James Corden’s “The Late Late Show.”

The late-night host went all-out for the season finale of his “Carpool Karaoke” series, an installment with Apple Music where Corden invites celebrity guests to sing-alongs while driving around Los Angeles. Tuesday night’s episode had LeBron James and rapper Ice Cube ride along to sing Cube’s 1992 hit song “It Was a Good Day.”

Before Ice Cube’s appearance, Corden asked the three-time NBA champion about what it’s like to hear his name being referenced in rap songs like “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z, and about his relationship with the Brooklyn-born rapper.

“Any time Jay says my name, it’s very humbling,” James said. “He’s like my big brother. He takes care of me.”

The King has brought his hip-hop chops to 'Carpool Karaoke.'

Corden and James’ back-and-forth also included questions about how the King handles trash talking in the NBA, and showcases of their “next-level air piano skills.”

The full episode of James’ and Ice Cube’s L.A. cruise can be viewed on Apple Music.
